has recently launched its Latin American Encyclopedia built with a singular architecture based on Intelligent Agents and Intelligent URL's Databases.
The recent "dot com" crisis: the recent dot com crisis is pushing to bankruptcy most of new small and medium sized Internet firms and even large "local" corporations projects lacking financial and economic infrastructure, not being able to afford significative money drainage along a couple of years more. In summary the costs are by far larger than expected and the patience and availability of Venture Capitals almost exhausted.
A Promissory Future: the projects that could survive this crisis will get a big reward, the hegemony in some new Internet niche, as Internet will be growing at a pace as up to now or even more, not_in_a hurry but non_stop till manage the transactions of the global economy as a whole. In a near future the e-sites will break even basically based on transactions, being the advertisement one minor entry.
How to survive till that future comes: we, the people that are pushing ahead this business know pretty well that it's practically impossible to monetize Internet in order to break even costs. We, the pioneers that believe and continue in this business, do it with the inner hope to be somehow great and why not?, rich. We are convinced that Internet allow us, small and medium size projects, to compete in the near future for a profitable niche in the global market.
Profile of the winners: Yes, we the ones that are going to be the winners, must renew our energies. Our profile is a common place: we all want to be the best in our fields, the best of our Cities, the best of our countries and why not?, the best of the world in some specific niche.
A trivia strategy, cooperation: to survive and to success, we must join efforts in an intelligent way, strengthen our distinction and at the same time the charm and attractiveness of our sites as well, significantly minimizing costs and at large to maximizing the traffic cost. Low costs and traffic is the clue that will permit us to get positive balances and to increase exponentially the equity value of our sites.
Note: for instance now the cost of traffic for big portals are about 5 cents per visit and as they could only get in the best optimistic scenario only 1 cent per visit via e-publicity they loose 4 cents per visit!.

Feasible Web_Ring evolution: aunmas have developed an affiliate program that manage and control the traffic within the net among members and to/from aunmas. All the clicks are registered and in the near future whether consensus exists a procedure could be implemented to properly reward the high traffic net generators, namely from 1 to 2 cents per visit in excess of received.
Another important advantages: aunmas will provide, without any fee, technical support to its node_members and permission to use locally some of its services and resources, as proxy, respecting the aunmas copy rights but within their respective look and feel.
AmericaNet Presence and Globality: the AmericaNet Web_Ring will have at least a node in correspondence with each America and Iberic Peninsula's important City. The number of nodes will be limited by the selected policy: one node for up to 400,000 inhabitant. A city of 10,000 to 20,000 inhabitant will be applicable and up to 400,000 inhabitant will have only one node. Urban conglomerates such as Mexico City, Sao Paulo and The Great Buenos Aires will well deserve 10+ nodes.
Pertaining meaning: Pertaining to the Web_Ring will be within the scope of the Netiquette or Internet Ethic hidden but consensual rules: if you feel uncomfortable in some cyberplace just quit it!. However we posses a deep faith in the positive social and economic power of the increasing intermingled shared interests induced by the Internet phenomenon.

We expect to have about 200 America's cities in the net by the end of February of this year 2001.
